About the Role:

This user-focused role is responsible for coordinating the development and planning the delivery of business change initiatives and deliverables across the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service and Partnerships.

Specifically, you will play a critical role in the successful implementation of the Eco-System Project, a strategic endeavour aimed at redesigning, constructing, and deploying a cutting-edge Information Management System tailored for fire and pest management activities. The comprehensive system will include Enterprise Application Integration and feature technological scalability, ensuring seamless interoperability across our ecosystem of applications.

The Senior Change Manager will report to Project Manager, in relation to project risks, significant development issues and progress against the project schedule and will be supported by a Principal Project Officer and Business Analyst.

What you will be doing:

- Coordinate business change activities, including change management, benefits realisation, communications, stakeholder engagement, and training.
- Develop change management deliverables to ensure successful implementation and stakeholder adoption.
- Assess organisational readiness for change and develop plans to address capability gaps.
- Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders to facilitate engagement throughout the change process.
- Develop and implement comprehensive change management strategies for digital system adoption aligned with organisational goals.
- Conduct impact assessments to identify resistance areas and develop mitigation plans.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including department heads, project teams, and end-users.
- Communicate benefits and impacts of digital system changes, addressing concerns and fostering a positive attitude.
- Craft clear, compelling messages highlighting digital system value propositions and addressing uncertainties.
- Collaborate with training teams to design and deliver effective end-user training programs.
- Provide ongoing support and resources for continuous learning and skill development.
- Lead execution of change management plans, coordinating with project teams for phased digital system rollout.
- Monitor and evaluate change impact, adjusting for successful adoption.
- Proactively engage to address resistance, coach, and develop change champions.
- Provide regular leadership reports on digital system adoption progress, achievements, and improvement areas.

About you:

- Bachelors degree in business, Organisational Development, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
- Proven experience in change management, particularly in digital system implementations.
- Strong understanding of technology trends and their impact on organisational processes.
- Experience effectively managing change in organisations with geographically dispersed or remote teams, understanding the complexities and communication nuances associated with these environments.
- Experience in implementing change initiatives within organisations characterised by high workload demands, showcasing the ability to balance productivity improvements with employee well-being.
- Experience and or qualifications engagement, focusing on engaging and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, fostering a positive and inclusive approach to change.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely. Adept at tailoring communication strategies to resonate with diverse audiences.
- A commitment to ongoing learning and improvement, staying abreast of industry trends, best practices, and incorporating feedback to enhance change management approaches.
- Demonstrated resilience in managing resistance to change and the flexibility to adapt strategies based on evolving organisational needs.
- Proven strategies to address and mitigate change fatigue within organisations, with a focus on sustaining employee engagement and commitment throughout prolonged change processes.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
- Certification in change management (e.g., Prosci, ACMP) is a plus.
- Highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Visio (or similar) and proficient with office automation tools such as Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook (e-mail).
