The Position
Watco Australia is a dynamic organisation, we currently have an opening for a Management Accountant to join our team. The position would suit a candidate looking for an exciting, diverse role where every day is different. This position is full time and will be based in West Perth.
What you will be doing
As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, interpreting and implementing management reporting in a complex environment for the purposes of financial management and ensuring business line managers understand the financial results of their business.
You will need the ability to Assist with preparation of monthly management accountsAnalysis and report on monthly management accountsDeep-dive cost analysis to understand underlying trendsCoordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyse, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding monthly reports, and impacts thereonAssist with preparation of Annual Operation Plan and BudgetPrepare studies, reports, and analyses in areas such as annual operating plans, forecasts, financial plans, debt requirements, statistical reports, cash flow projections, and business forecastsOversight cost allocationAnalyse management information to determine historical, current and future financial performanceIdentify trends and recommend improvements accordinglyEvaluate complex profit plans, operating records and financial statementsReview, design and Improve cost allocation systems and processesDevelop, interpret and apply corporate cost allocation principles to give enhanced line of sight of indirect costsMake recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement processes and strategiesAssist as needed in the development of the Annual Operating Plan and Budget, planning, and other regional/corporate financial requirementsWork with Key Account Managers to ensure the information flow assist both the KAM and the management accounting function
What you will bringA common-sense, can do approach and be motivated to achieveA bachelors degree in finance or accounting Proficiency in MS office products, database management, QuickBooks and Greentree Experience with financial reporting and general ledger information systemsAbility to make independent judgments using sound reasoning skills and knowledge baseStrong verbal, written, and oral communication skillsA safety always mindset2 years or more relevant experience would be highly regarded
