Your Impact
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, your new role as Lead IT Systems & Infrastructure Administrator will see you take ownership and responsibility for the technical design, planning, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mission critical enterprise systems.
Leading a small team of engineers, you will act as a technical expert in the area of systems administration for our complex systems whilst providing acting as a mentor, providing guidance to more junior members in the IT Operations Team.
More specifically you will:
Identify opportunities to improve existing practices and uses innovative approaches to enact those improvements
Monitor and tune the systems and infrastructure to achieve optimum performance levels
Assure integrity and security of all nib IT systems and environments
Foster a customer centric approach to all IT Operations engagements
Administer and manage nib's SAN environment including monitoring and reporting on storage usage, implement a regime of forecasting storage utilisation and availability, engage key stakeholders in order to undertake capacity planning
Demonstrate a high level of customer service by ensuring requests are responded to and completed within defined SLAs
Lead the development and maintenance of a comprehensive operating system, hardware and software configuration database/library including all supporting documentation.

Critical to the success of the nib Group, the IT Operations team is responsible for the maintaining the integrity of reliability of all nib systems whilst providing a high level of customer service. We are a team of engaged professionals who always deliver the best whilst being creative and challenging the status quo!
Your Background
With proven ability to lead a cross-functional team, other skills and experience that will be highly regarded include:Demonstrated experience within a Systems Administrator roleTertiary level IT qualification or equivalent
Network Infrastructure experience in Office or Cloud coupled
Ability to effectively engagement and communicate with a variety of stakeholders
An AWS certification or certifications in Windows, Linux, Amazon Web Services, or other relevant technologies is desired
Certifications in project management (e.g. PRINCE2) desired
Scripting and automation experience is also desired
