You wont be stuck behind a desk. This is a meaty, all encompassing role that will give you chance to be a major player in projects from conception to completion. You will be an important part of the tender process, the technical design phase, in some cases have input into the procurement and be on site for the delivery and commissioning.
Key responsibilities include:
Manage engineering projects to ensure the design is delivered on time and budget Review and control design upgrades ensuring compliance with all standards, systems and policies across the business Interpreting technical and complex information, simplifying where necessary for non technical stakeholders Coordinating project scope of works, budgets and schedules. Acting as a brand ambassador for the company, promoting strong relationships with new and existing clients Promote a zero harm ethos across the business Essentially you:
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering At least 5 years experience Demonstrated experience design, drafting, machining and fabrication processes The ability to understand and interpret contractual technical specs Knowledge of project management principles and processes Evidenced high level technical report writing skills with clear, concise communication Confident to prioritise workloads with minimal supervision but the recognition to ask for support when required
