Materials Handler
Reporting to the Materials Supervisor, you will be responsible the material movement and update of movement transactions. Loading/unloading trucks, moving material from location to location manually or using material handling equipment and ensuring Storage conditions/standards are inspected and maintained. Your positive and calm approach when faced with challenges, and ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to change, will ensure your success in a dynamic environment.
This role for be on a 18 month-contract with potential to extend if required.
Job description:Physically prepare materials for safe movement or shipment following established procedures and processesPractice good housekeeping in assigned area and properly dispose of waste according to safety and environment policiesOrganize storage locations to optimize storage space and requirements in line with plansEfficiently and accurately store, track and control all project material in custody, including executing all internal movements physically and systematically in SAPPrepare accurate reports and records of the equipment and spare parts inventory at the base, offshore locations and at onshore site locations in SAPPrepare, generate and update inventory count sheets for customer property audits, general requests, and cycle counts. Execute routine stock checksPromptly report any operational problems or safety issues with machinery, tools or equipment to Materials Supervisor.Move materials between locations as instructed by delivery notes or Service OrdersLoad and unload trucks safely and in a timely mannerAssist in the preparation of shipments by staging, counting, documenting, and packaging materials for safe transport. Process paperwork and enter SAP data update, request transport through 3rd party provider and buyersDistribute received shipment by delivering materials to requestor and/or stock location. Process paperwork and system update to record transactionsPhysically locating materials in the warehouse and yardPrepare all shipping and transportation documents, including shipping proformas and material movements tickets, and filling of sameManage SAP inventory entries and update systematically and also physically by weighing, measuring, and recording materials and creating and attaching identifying equipment tagsSearch for equipment in SAP and locate technical drawings
You are meant for this job if you:Valid forklift license, and dogging or rigging ticketsValid first aid ticketElectronic work platform license is a plusMinimum of three years of experience in a warehousing or logistics role.Experience working with handling Subsea or oil and gas related equipment is highly desirableExperience operating forklifts, equipment stackers and cranes
