Do you want to use your gift to contribute to the sustainability of nurturing and growing creative arts and culture in the local community?The Mundaring Arts Centre Inc is a not-for-profit community arts organisation that nurtures the development and presentation of arts and cultural activity in the eastern region of Perth.
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual who will work with the MAC Inc. Director to develop and manage a portfolio of grant submissions to support the organisations services and growth.
This is a great opportunity for an innovative and strategic thinker, who understands the needs of arts and community development sectors and who has a comprehensive knowledge of current funding opportunities and processes.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is responsible for the development and management of a portfolio of grants and funding submissions to government agencies, philanthropic foundations and other grant-making organisations. Reporting to the Director, your immediate focus will be to write, assemble and submit grant applications, as guided by the Director.
Other activities may include research of other prospective grant opportunities, grant reporting, acquittal, maintenance of a calendar of submissions and deadlines, and other tasks aligned to strategic objectives of MAC Inc. Youll also have the opportunity to contribute to MAC Inc.s next Strategic Plan.
MAC Inc. support flexible work arrangements and will consider applications from Freelancers / Contractors with their own ABN, as well as from candidates who are interested in short-term, temporary employment.
This role can either be performed on-site, remotely, or as a hybrid of the two.
WHAT YOULL DO Develop a range of persuasive grant submissions for MAC Inc., including applications for multi-year funding Draft grant submissions that utilise evidence-based data to support and articulate MAC Inc.s mission, programs and strategic objectives in a compelling way Obtain and assemble letters of support, budget(s) and any other required supporting materials for each submission Create and maintain a grants calendar to ensure timely delivery of letters of intent, EOIs, applications, reports, etc. Conduct prospect research to identify potential new grants and philanthropic funding opportunities Prioritise multiple deadline-driven projects to keep projects moving, meet deadlines and manage the collection of supplemental materials requiredEstablish and maintain positive working relationships with current and potential funders, including local, state and federal government Use existing systems and processes to accurately maintain up-to-date records Work collaboratively with all MAC Inc. staff to deliver upon strategic objectives Reporting, acquittal and other duties as assigned by the Director
ABOUT YOU
You have an excellent track record in preparing successful submissions for grants, tenders, or commercial contracts, ideally in the arts or not-for-profit sectors. Your consultative yet decisive approach, strong initiative and exemplary communication skills ensure you prepare submissions of the highest quality. Additionally, you can demonstrate. Excellent writing, analytical and research skills with a high level of attention to detail Capacity to synthesise information and communicate succinctly Aptitude for creative and strategic thinking Ability to work well under pressure to meet short deadlines and competing priorities Strong interest in the arts and/or community sector Proficiency with Microsoft Office (essential) and online grant platforms (preferred) Evidence of double vaccination (COVID-19) is required if working on-site or in a hybrid capacity

KSC2. Funding Process Knowledge of funding opportunities for arts organisations and current WA fiscal environment Demonstrated success in grant administration, financial and budget management
KSC3. Business Skills Qualification in Business or Finance discipline or equivalent experience. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (essential) and online grant platforms (preferred) Exemplary organisational and administrative skills including ability to work well under pressure to meet short deadlines and competing priorities
