Job summary
Position Description· Open and Closing of the clinic
· Answering phones, managing appointment bookings, greeting patients, billing, scanning incoming mail and general reception duties.
· Managing of claims to Medicare and DVA, processing of workers compensation claims, and all private billings
· Maintaining the practices social media profile and website
· The practice online booking system, email campaigns and patient reminders
· Assist with chronic disease registers
· Exporting and importing of patient records
· Stock ordering
· Involvement in quality improvement programs and patient feedback initiatives
· House Keeping and other miscellaneous admin tasks

Essentials Description
Strong IT skills including office programs / medical practice softwareanswer telephone calls in a courteous and professional mannerreceive and convey messages verbally, electronically and writtenliaise with patient and their families in a compassionate mannerliaise with GPs, other health professionals and their staffmake general, nursing and allied health appointmentsWork both unsupervised and in a team environmentFluent in written and spoken English languageAvailability to cover sick leave for othersWillingness to learn and work as a teamDependable and reliable in character and possess a strong work ethic
Desirable Description
Experience working as a Medical Receptionist is considered. The person for this role must have commitment, strong dedication, enthusiasm and great communication skills, ensuring customer service is to the highest standard. Medical reception experience is not essential.
If you have no prior experience, you are required to undergo training.
