Your new company
Here is your new company, this global scope manufacturing business was formed in 1996 and over the years they have developed their capabilities and now operate an integrated platform offering these products to the construction, oil & gas, manufacturing and other heavy industries. With recent expansion and sights set to expand even further they need a new General Manager of Finance to lead growth.
Your new role
As a General Manager of Finance you will showcase your ability to be hands-on and detail oriented across many facets of the business, providing support to the managing director. You would be responsible for the majority of aspects of the Finance function including leading a newly formed Finance team in a multi-jurisdiction function.
As a General Manager of Finance some of your responsibilities will include:
- Financial reporting tasks including preparation of monthly financial accounts, working papers and commentary in a timely manner
- Preparation and monitoring of the annual budget with ongoing cash-flow forecasting
- Expenditure analysis and identification of cost saving measures where appropriate
- Due diligence investigations in relation to new capital investments, projects, and ventures.
- Manage and lead the Finance team
For the General Manager of Finance you should have the following skills and experience:
- Qualified CPA or CA accreditation with professional accounting experience, including at board level
- Experience in strategic level decision making and influencing within heavy industry preferably within Manufacturing industry
- Experience in Finance across multi-jurisdiction companies globally
- Outstanding relationship management, leadership and negotiation skills
- Strong commercial business acumen
- Record of continuous improvement across a range of operations, at a senior level.
