Randstad is currently seeking Senior Project Officers who can operate with excellence and expertise with solid attention to detail and establish and maintain relationships. Our partnering department is looking for someone enthusiastic and not afraid of a challenge whilst making a positive difference and impacting education in Victoria, the Education State.

About your new role

As a committed team player, the Senior Project Officer will drive the development of projects aimed at supporting vulnerable and disengaged young people to re-engage and stay connected to education, including working

effectively with stakeholders within DET and externally to design, implement and manage programs and support

the implementation of new policy and guidance that address disengagement from education.

What you will need to exceed

- Have experience in program design, implementation and management, including managing funding arrangements.
- Be able to liaise with schools, local government, community organisations and other parts of DET.
- Experience in preparing information for governance groups, Ministers and senior executives as required.
- Be able to identify and document program or project risks and issues and develop effective management strategies.
- Be able to use appropriate project management planning and monitoring tools to track project progress.
- Be able to successfully manage relationships with and between project or program stakeholders.
- Be able to monitor performance against objectives and manage project risks and issues.
- Have experience in the preparation of complex briefs, letters, emails and reports using clear, concise and grammatically correct language.

Note: This role is expected to involve working some days a week from home and some days in the office.

Desirable

- Experience in working for government
- Understanding of public sector entity
