Job Description
The Senior Project Accountant will be instrumental in:
- Ensuring a solid understanding of project and finance documents, especially regarding financial and commercial commitments.
- Managing project accounts, overseeing cashflow, and ensuring timely payments and income collection.
- Handling payment claims, abatements, retentions, statutory and management accounts, and audit coordination.
- Updating the project financial model and maintaining loan/bond/interest calculations.
- Issuing compliance certificates and managing DSCR calculations and distributions.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, including those in community housing and regulatory bodies.
- Engaging actively in client and stakeholder meetings.
- Overseeing Board reporting, meeting schedules, and fulfilling corporate secretarial duties.
The Successful Applicant
- CPA or CA qualification with 5-7 years of experience in accounting and finance, ideally at a senior level within the property, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
- A comprehensive grasp of finance and commercial contracts, coupled with a dedication to meeting deadlines.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and numerical capabilities.
- A thorough understanding of accounting standards and policies.
- An enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Exceptional communication abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- A positive and proactive mindset.
