Our Brisbane office continues to expand and we are now looking for an export operator to join our amazing team.We are a dynamic, forward thinking, Australian owned freight forwarding company now in our 33rd year. The Position
To handle and process export sea freight shipments while keeping in close contact with suppliers and customers to ensure a high level of service at all times.Receive & process bookings & documentation relating to outbound sea shipments including input into Cargowise.Efficient dispatch of booking confirmations, bills of lading, invoices and other export documentation as required to shippers and/or consignees.Liaise with trucking companies, depots, freight forwarders & shipping lines to co-ordinate shipments.Liaise with customers regarding their shipments keeping a professional & friendly attitude at all times.Liaise with overseas agents & other Kalgin offices.Obtain quotes from shipping lines, trucking companies etc. as and when required.Ensure all job invoicing and costing in Cargowise are processed correctly and promptly.
The Requirements
The successful candidate would be well presented and able to cope in a fast-paced environment. A strong emphasis is placed on customer service. Excellent communication and time management skills and knowledge of the Cargowise system.To be considered for this opportunity you will have a minimum of 1 years experience in sea freight.Have experience working with the Cargowise software system.You must currently be living in Brisbane.Excellent communication and organisational skills.Professional manner and common-sense approach to work & pride yourself on attention to detail.Energetic and team oriented.Be prepared to be cross-trained and learn from a dynamic team.
