This role covers a range of tax compliance services for managed investment funds, private equity funds and listed investment companies. You will be responsible for ensuring that tax services are delivered to clients accurately and within schedule.

Reporting to the Senior Tax Manager, the key Accountabilities of the Tax Reporting Manager include:

- Support the implementation of tax and operational policies across the Business.
- Review of distribution calculations (including streaming calculations).
- Review of tax provisions for LIC and other tax paying entities.
- Review of tax returns/schedules for unit trusts.
- Maintain tax classification of securities held in the tax reporting system
- Provide training to operational staff in relation to tax systems/tools.
- Provide support in operationalising tax changes to systems/templates and process improvement.
- Execute tax governance testing in line with the internal tax risk management framework.
- Provide support in the onboarding of new business and fund restructures from a tax perspective.

The successful Tax Reporting Manager will require the following skills:

- Extensive experience in a similar role in Australia with a background in Fund Accounting and Tax Reporting;
- CA/CPA qualified
- Understands the taxation of unit trusts (including AMITs) and listed investment companies.
- Understands the tax treatment of investment transactions including income and corporate actions.
- Sound grasp of Australian accounting standards and taxation affecting the managed funds industry
- Client centric with strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Self-driven and motivated in completing assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- IT savvy and able to learn new software quickly and work with Excel applications.
