job detailsA premier Residential and Community Care organisation in Melbourne's Eastern Metropolitan Region is looking for a positive and enthusiastic Lifestyle Assistant to support the Lifestyle and Leisure Manager in providing recreational programs for the residents on site.
About the role:
- Support the delivery of recreational programs for residents to promote their psychological, social, and physical wellbeing.
- Ensure client centred care by demonstrating empathy with, and understanding of, older people including the needs of High Care Dementia residents.
- Deliver quality individualised lifestyle and leisure activities in accordance with the Cassia House program including enabling residents to pursue special interests and participate in lifestyle and leisure programs of their choice.
About you:
- Experience in implementing lifestyle program in aged care facilities including dementia specific which provided positive experiences for residents
- Cert 3 or 4 in Lifestyle and Leisure or Diversional Therapy
- Familiarity with Personal Care and Resident Lifestyle requirements in the Accreditation Standards
- Proven ability to monitor and review recreational needs of aged residents to develop suitable activities and programs
- Experience in care plans documentation
