About the role
They are urgently looking for data modellers to provide critical support to their Data Enablement portfolio and provide a robust data modelling structure in their growing team. Data modeling using Erwin and in-depth knowledge of data warehouse, data vault modelling is essential for this role.
Skill Sets
You need to have the following skill sets to excel in this role:
- Strong skills in presenting models to Business Stakeholders, Domain Architects and design forums
- Conceptual, Logical and physical data modelling in complex environments spanning Hadoop and Teradata
- Strong skills with Erwin Data Modeler tool, model mart the Web Portal feature.
- Experience in banking/financial industry models and designing Enterprise data models.
- Proficient in data analysis, data profiling using SQL or other tools in Hadoop/Hive, Azure and Teradata platforms
- Understanding of e2e processing of a data in an analytics environment
- Agile development methodology
Responsibilities
- Liaise closely with the Information Architect team to ensure delivery is in accordance with the agreed architecture, High Level Solution Designs and Information Strategy.
- Liaise with the Operations teams very early to ensure aspects of quality, performance and stability are considered before a solution is designed.
- Deliver high quality design in alignment with information and Analytics & BI architecture.
- Provide technical design services which may include dimensional modelling, staging areas, Business Access Layers, semantic layer design and ETL design.
It is an urgent position and my client is interviewing candidates at the moment. It is an exceptional opportunity for someone who has strong data modeling experience, has used Erwin modeling tool and has worked in a financial services organization.
