What can our construction projects build for you?
CPB Contractors along with our industry partners has been selected as preferred proponent to deliver two major packages for the Cross River Rail Projects: the Tunnel, Stations and Development (TSD) package and the Rail, Integration and Systems (RIS) package. Cross River Rail is a new 10.2 kilometre rail line from Dutton Park to Bowen Hills, which includes 5.9 kilometres of tunnel under the Brisbane River and the CBD.
The RIS package is crucial to the overall delivery and success of Cross River Rail, and its integration with the Queensland Rail network. RIS will be delivered by the UNITY Alliance which brings CPB Contractors, UGL, AECOM and Jacobs together with partners HASSEL, RCS Australia, Acmena, Martinus Rail and WIRED Overhead Solutions to deliver the full scope of works over the next five years. This includes: Rail civil and electrical works Brownfield rail surface works primarily to the north of the tunnel, including an upgrade of Exhibition Station and a major augmentation of Mayne Yard Upgrade of seven suburban stations to the south Rail operational systems works Rail signalling works and communication, and integration and commission activities.
Your Opportunity
As the Senior Quality Advisor, you will audit, verify and report works on site against compliance with the PMS and associated engineering requirements (approved drawings, specifications, relevant standards etc.). A particular focus must be placed on understanding and complying with processes identified within the project Management Plans.
You will be accountable for: Assist in monitoring and maintaining the requirements of the Project Quality Management System and systems for data, document and record management Provide support to project personnel in the implementation of the project quality management system and development of work process documentation Assist project personnel in the preparation and coordination of project quality system documentation including preparation and review of documentation to/from subcontractors and suppliers Provide guidance, support, coaching and/or mentoring on quality related matters/issues to Site and Project engineers, Foremen and workforce Implement, monitor and improve the construction quality and verification processes in accordance with the deed and the Quality Management Plan Attend site frequently, with the Site and Project Engineer(s) to view works, observe testing and provide assistance with testing, recording and verification of site quality requirements Participate in the preparation and review of Construction Area Plans, Work Packs, ITPs, SWMS and checklists
Our minimum requirements for this role are: Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry Relevant tertiary qualification Experience as an Auditor of Quality Management Systems Awareness of relevant Australian and International standards, both technical and those related to management systems Good communication, consultation, negotiation and influencing skills Solid relationship building skills Good presentation skills with ability to demonstrate and train others
