The role
An exciting opportunity exists within the Bendigo Venues & Events (BV&E) unit as a Events Officer. Working in a small and dynamic team you will be responsible for the effective coordination of a wide range of corporate functions, conferences, meetings, community/school presentations and creative events in some of Bendigos most prominent and historic spaces including the Ulumbarra Theatre, Capital Theatre, The Engine Room, Dudley House and the Bendigo Town Hall.
As the primary client contact for a range of diverse and exciting events, you will work closely with all departments of BV&E to deliver exceptional outcomes in every aspect of an event including client communication, event bookings, cost estimates, rostering, liaising with external suppliers and providing accurate and timely production information to operational staff.
As part of the BV&E team, you will work to enrich the Bendigo and central Victorian communities as we nurture, develop, present and celebrate arts and culture experiences to an annual attendance of close to 200,000 across our venues.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have relevant qualifications, or experience in event and function operations, experience in managing multiple projects and have exceptional customer service skills. A sound knowledge of event management technology and software will be highly regarded.
A satisfactory police records check and Working with Children Check is required for this position
