Exciting opportunities for experienced Registered Nurses to join a dynamic and growing clinical research team.
Full time positions available (part time EOIs also considered).
One Clinical Research (OCR)
OCR is an emerging leader in conducting cancer clinical research, specialising in pharmaceutical industry-sponsored clinical trials of new medical therapies for patients with haematological (blood) and solid-organ cancers.
The successful candidate(s) will primarily be responsible for delivering patient-centered, compassionate clinical care for patients enrolled in oncology/haematology clinical trials, spanning Phase I first-in-human clinical trials through to Phase III randomised trials.
The role will focus on performing clinical nursing procedures (e.g. vitals, ECGs, parenteral drug administration, recording adverse events) in accordance with institutional SOPs and approved clinical trial protocols. Additionally, the successful candidate(s) will provide general nursing assessments and care to patients, support to carers/family and liaise closely with the treating investigators and clinical research team.
Depending on the candidate's interests and experience, hybrid research nurse/clinical trial co-ordinator roles are also available, and additional tasks may include planning of participant visits, verifying/QA on source document templates, collection of participant data, data entry and query resolution, liaising with trial monitors, and maintenance of the investigator site files across our growing portfolio of clinical trials.
The successful candidate(s) will join a close-knit and dedicated team passionate about optimising patient outcomes in an innovative and progressive private clinical trial setting, engaging with various stakeholders to ensure high-quality and efficiently conducted clinical trials and helping to advance access to better treatments for those with cancer.
Essential Criteria:Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration;Current knowledge/skills in clinical assessments of participants (e.g. vitals, ECG, venepuncture, cannulation and parenteral drug administration);Demonstrated planning and workload management skills and the ability to work autonomously;Demonstrated experience with MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPointHigh attention to detail, with excellent oral and written communication skills; andProficiency in liaising with a variety of health and research professionals
Desirable Criteria (at least one of the following):Clinical experience in oncology or haematology (highly regarded, but not essential);Proficiency in managing CVADs;Experience as a clinical trial coordinator and/or research nurse (highly regarded, but not essential);Demonstrated understanding of ICH-Good Clinical Practice, regulatory, ethical, privacy and other relevant guidelines and legislation relating to clinical trial conduct.
