Job Description
If successful for this role, you will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Manage the day-to-day services within the Infrastructure and Operations team.
- Provide technical knowledge and leadership across the specific infrastructure management activities covered by the team.
- Lead the design and development of the future Infrastructure roadmap and cloud strategy with a strong emphasis on security.
- Manage infrastructure lifecycles and submit budget recommendations to the Group Manager to support this.
- Monitor system performance and provide recommendations on improvements to help negate foreseen problems
- Review, develop, recommend and implement relevant policies and procedures to ensure effective service delivery.
- Facilitating regular Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity testing.
- Participate in relevant projects and initiatives as part of the Information Services Senior/ leadership team.
- To be a key contact to all Infrastructure vendors and 3rd parties to communicate evolving requirements and performance.
- Facilitate team and individual goal setting and bi-annual staff reviews.
- Engage in any performance management needed.
- Work with all areas of the Information Service group to be informed of ongoing work and projects to provide efficient and accurate information.
- Define career paths and succession opportunities for all team members.
- Provide leadership and support to the Group during critical incidents, including reviewing and improving processes and procedures.
- Lead by example in making fair, informed and justifiable decisions.
The Successful Applicant
In order to be considered for this role, you will have the following:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
- High-level problem-solving and analytical skills including the ability to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements to processes or services.
- Previous experience with successfully leading and developing a highly technical team.
- Well-developed communication (written, verbal and listening) and interpersonal skills to develop effective relationships and provide advice and support.
- Demonstrated time management and organisational skills to effectively plan and prioritise work tasks for the Infrastructure team as well as Deliverables to direct report.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team to participate and contribute to tasks and projects for the business and its organisational objectives.
- Previous experience managing cloud services and hybrid architecture.
