The Centre

This 60 place, not-for-profit and EXCEEDING service located in Darlinghurst is looking for a Diploma Educator to join their team on a full-time basis in the Nursery or Toddler room. There is also room to be the Room Leader of the Nursery room. The service contains modern, architecturally designed indoor and outdoor spaces with play equipment and resources to match. Programs are planned in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) with a focus on extending childrens interests and developmental needs. The service prides itself on its strong inclusive practices and has strong ties to the local and diverse community.
The centre is an easy 10 minute walk from Museum or Kings Cross station and is also conveniently located near numerous bus stops around the CBD. Being in the Sydney CBD also means you are located to numerous shops, cafes and restaurants. The service is open from 7:00am - 6:00pm.
There is also the flexibility to work 4 days x 10 hours instead of 5 days x 8 hours a week if this is your preference and is great for someone seeking that extra work life balance! Working towards Early Childhood Teachers can also be considered.
The Role
As a Diploma Educator some of your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assisting and working alongside the Room Leader to implement programming leading to successful learning outcomes for the children
- Communicating positively with the children and families
- Being reliable, respectful and work constructively with your colleagues and other professionals providing high-quality care and education for children up to the age of 5 years
- Implementing education and care programs that meet the holistic needs of the individual child as part of a community

- A Diploma in Early Childhood OR ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification
- A current Working with Childrens Check
