Overview of the role
This is a unique opportunity for a senior level BA to join one of Australias leading Insurers during an exciting time of change within the industry.
The role is an initial 12-month fixed term contract, aligned to Corporate Core Platform People and Culture portfolio project. Also, as part of the Business Analysis Chapter, you will have opportunity to be an active member Suncorps Business Analysis community who is focused on mastering the craft of business analysis and work with like-minded people.
What youll do: Utilise your extensive business analysis experience and skillset to support the delivery of critical projects, including (but not limited to): Use a range of information gathering techniques to proactively discover requirements; synthesise information accurately, completely, and coherently to produce designs that realise strategic and project objectives Be the conduit between the business and vendor, ensuring you ask the right questions to gather the necessary information Gather technical requirements and/or translate business requirements into system needs and ability to communicate these to diverse technical teams such as infrastructure, data and application teams Assist the business to create test cases based on business requirements Write data specifications to provide to the vendor Solve business problems using a methodical and consultative approach Document current and future-state processes, and translate /draw business process to a diagram Manage risks, issues and project change requests using established tools and frameworks
What youll bring: Min 5+ years experience as a Senior/Business Analyst Agile /JIRA experience Experience in HR business process and / systems Insurance or financial services industry experience Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management and influencing skills including experience in dealing with senior stakeholders Experience in gathering technical requirements and/or translating business requirements into system needs and ability to communicate these to diverse technical teams such as infrastructure, data and application teams Experience in writing data specifications to provide to vendor/s Experience in working closely with business users to define reporting requirements (and relate other requirements such as business process, compliance needs etc) Experience in translating /drawing business process to a diagram Experience working with external vendors (both onshore and offshore), ideally for a SaaS solution implementation - preferred Experience in assisting business to create test cases based on business requirements Experience in working closely with business users to define reporting requirements (and relate other requirements such as business process, compliance needs etc) Experience in translating /drawing business process to a diagram
