As a solution architect you will be responsible for delivering fit-for-purpose solutions that meet the business needs and requirements.

As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing and delivering innovative and fit-for-purpose solutions that meet the business needs and align with the enterprise architecture principles and standards. You will work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, analysts, developers, and testers to ensure the quality and consistency of the solutions.

The successful candidate must have experience in the Energy or utilities sector.

Responsibilities:

- Define and document the solution architecture for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with the enterprise architecture framework, policies, and standards
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, analysts, developers, and testers to understand the business requirements, scope, risks and issues
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the project teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet the business objectives and expectations
- Conduct solution architecture reviews and assessments, ensuring the alignment of the solutions with the enterprise architecture vision and roadmap
- Identify and manage the solution architecture dependencies, risks, and issues, and escalate them as appropriate
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies and trends, and provide recommendations for their adoption and integration into the existing and future solutions
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the solution architecture practice, processes, and standards

About you:

- Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in solution architecture, design and delivery of complex and large-scale IT solutions
- Proven experience in applying enterprise architecture frameworks, methodologies, and tools, such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, Sparx EA, etc.
- Strong knowledge and experience in various domains, such as business, data, application, integration, infrastructure, security, cloud, etc.
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing solutions using various technologies, such as Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, IBM, etc.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to think strategically, analytically, and creatively, and to solve complex problems
- Experience in the Energy or Utilities sector
- Experience working on Agile and Waterfall projects
- Experience working in a regulated, matrix environment
- Ability to work independently (self-driven) and collaboratively as needed
- Excellent time management skills
