Expeditors is headquartered in Seattle, WashingtonJob DescriptionTo prepare customs clearance declarations for submission to customs in compliance with the national regulatory provisions and in adherence to the company's policies and procedures.Accurately classify & value import and export products for customs clearanceAccurately update systems databases with appropriate informationEnsure shipments are cleared within specified timeframes in line with approved Key Performance IndicatorsLiaise professionally and cordially with customers both internal and externalRespond to all queries in a timely manner as defined by standard operational procedureComplete designated training within specified timeframesAssist with transport operations, booking deliveries, billings and Accounting.In addition to this, to perform tasks as requested, including, but not exclusive to, assisting in general Brokerage operations.Responsible for all aspects of the job to the Brokerage Manager.QualificationsAustralian Customs Brokers License, or within 12 months of application.Knowledge of Government RegulationsStandard Operational Procedures for Customs Import Operations.ICS and Third Party SystemsGood geographical knowledgeAccounting knowledgeInternational freight shipping termsPossess elements of Expeditors Attributes and CultureEmbrace Expeditors Mission statementGeneral Mathematical knowledge, including but not exclusive to, dealing with Exchange Rates, Foreign Currency and General LedgerComplete understanding of the movement of Goods Road Transport Operational knowledgeAdditional Information
