Experienced Aged Care Chef/ Cook Required for Residential Aged Care & Hotel Services All Rounder's

This is a Permanent position working as a chef / cook in a modern and well equipped 96 bed Residential Aged Care facility situated in Merrimac on the Gold Coast.

Aged Care cooking experience preferred as the role will require you to be a kitchen all-rounder. Including preparation of texture modified foods and alternative diets and function work.

You must possess the skills to be able to cover the Cooks rostered days off and have the flexibility to cover other positions as required to cover leave.

The facility operates a dietician approved 4 week rotational menu which is changed seasonally. All food is prepared from scratch at our on site kitchen. It is essential you have experience in the a fast paced kitchen and have a vast cooking knowledge and a positive attitude for working with the elderly.

Candidates must have a current police check, double dose of covid-19 vaccination, possess excellent communication skills, be physically fit and are passionate about the food they are creating for our Residents.

Great working hours, no split shifts. Most shifts will be from 10:15-17:45 with the occasional morning cover. Must be available over weekends and public holidays. up to 50 hours per fortnight plus any sick leave and annual leave to cover

This position reports to the Head of Hotel Services on site.

EssentialAll aged care workers must be willing to be vaccinated against seasonal influenza in order to enter an aged care facility - as such all successful applicants will be required to provide proof of vaccination All successful applicants will be required to provide proof of their up to date ( double dose + Booster dose) Covid-19 vaccination prior to commencementMust have a current national police certificate or be willing to complete a criminal history checkMust be an Australian Citizen or a Permanent Resident or hold a valid work visa
