job detailsRandstad is seeking a Program Manager who can operate with excellence and expertise with solid attention to detail and establish and maintain relationships. Our partnering department is looking for someone enthusiastic and not afraid of a challenge whilst making a positive difference in education in Victoria.
About your new role
As a committed team player, the Program Manager will lead and manage a diverse group of staff and projects, including flagship Education State programs and initiatives that seek to improve participation and outcomes in science, technology, engineering and mathematics disciplines. The Program Manager will be supported by a VPS6 Principal Policy Officer, Numeracy and Mathematics Education, who acts as a Subject Matter Expert across the Unit's work and leads and manages projects assigned to them.
What you will need to exceed
- Identify staff development needs, support, and encourage staff to meet their professional goals.
- Manage multiple projects and direct the flow of transformation to meet organisational goals
- Establish and manage governance arrangements, processes, project control boards and working groups
- Influence and negotiate with stakeholders to contribute to the achievement of common goals
- Manage complex interdependencies between projects/programs and make decisions accordingly
- Tailor project/program management methodologies to be fit-for-purpose for the teams involved
- Be able to Negotiate for resources.
- Develop policy, guidance and resources on school-based curriculum programs
- Lead the design and delivery of professional learning, tools and services, and curriculum-aligned resources in Numeracy, Mathematics, Science, STEM, the Arts, the Humanities, the Capabilities and the cross-curriculum priorities.
