About us The Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) leads innovation in clinical care across NSW. We do this by bringing clinicians, patients and healthcare managers together to design and implement new ways to deliver healthcare. For more information go to https://www.aci.health.nsw.gov.au What you'll be doing The Surgical Services Taskforce (SST) Project Officer will manage the development and implementation of strategic projects that will improve the quality of surgical and anaesthetic services across NSW. Projects will be assigned by the Surgical Services Taskforce Manager, in collaboration with the Clinical Associate Director and will be selected from the work plans of the individual Taskforces and Networks within the Surgery and Anaesthesia Stream. The Project Officer will work closely with the relevant Taskforce/Network manager and staff to deliver the specific project. The SST Project Officer will undertake the full role of project management activities including project planning, milestone reporting, stakeholder negotiations, managing specific project budgets, monitoring and evaluation. This position is managed within the ACI Surgery and Anaesthesia Stream. A copy of the position description can be accessed online. Selection criteria Extensive project management experience in the health industry including relevant qualifications or equivalent work experience. This includes broad knowledge of surgical practices and practical experience in working with clinicians with a demonstrated understanding of policies and system frameworks relevant to surgery and anaesthesia. Highly developed ability to work within and support multidisciplinary teams together with a proven capacity to communicate and negotiate change and improvement initiatives with senior clinicians and health system executives. Demonstrated experience to lead with attention to detail all phases of project management from design to implementation and evaluation. High level system wide knowledge of contemporary issues, challenges and directions of the NSW health system to improve health outcomes. At the ACI we value diversity and inclusion.
