About Our ClientMy client is a leading production and manufacturer based in Melbourne's inner suburbs. As a result of a maternity leave cover, a 15-month fixed-term contract has become available.
Job Description
Reporting to the Finance Director, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of monthly group statutory financial statements
- Preparation of budgets, cash flow forecast, supporting analysis ( inc actual performance vs forecast/budget) and reconciliation, for inclusion in the monthly finance report
- Responsible for preparation of monthly balance sheet and cashflow statements including interpretation and analysis.
- General ledger reconciliations
- Taxation preparation and reporting
- Assistance with year-end audit process
- Balance sheet review and actioning any issues, variance analysis between periods
- Project work and analysis to support the finance team
- General assistance where required by the CFO or directors.
- Seek continuous improvement of financial accounting processes to enable the delivery of an efficient and stream-lined service, documenting changes to processes and procedure
- Stakeholder management as you convey financial information to key people across the business and external parties
The Successful Applicant
Successful Candidate:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance
- CA/CPA Qualification
- Proven financial reporting and technical accounting skills
- Effective verbal, written & presentation skills
- Available at short notice preferably but not mandatory
- Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident with unrestricted and unlimited work right
