So, we need to find a Talent Acquisition Officer to become our newest team member - someone who enjoys the work from home model, wants to be part of a fun and well-connected team, and does (or can learn to) hold candidate and client experience at the core of what they do.
Who are we looking for?
We have ideas, but we want you to bring yours! We are progressive and open to the wealth of experience that you may bring from previous paths you may already be experienced in the world of recruitment. You might have recently graduated in Human Resources and be looking to develop your career with an industry leader in aged care. Or you may be searching for a new career and wanting to use a little of what you already know from your background in Allied Health, Aged Care and/or Community Services.
Whatever your background, you will be part of a supportive team who will guide you on managing high volume and fast paced recruitment services.
Also, even though this role is remote, work from home, we would love a Tasmanian local to join the team as this role will have most of their internal clients and candidates located in our most southern state.
What does the team do?
Big picture, the Talent Acquisition team: Takes a strategic approach to not only fill current positions, but to develop a pipeline of a strong and suitable candidate for future positions Are proactive and enthusiastically engage in the process of continuous improvement Educates themselves on current staffing trends, state of the present workforce as well as the future workforce, and uses those insights to attract potential talent Is committed to build a positive employer brand based on candidate engagement, working with the business to build talent pools aligned to current and future hiring needs
What will you be doing? Facilitating end-to-end talent acquisition activities, selection processes and support to meet staffing levels across designated business units. Providing an efficient and effective response function to candidate, employee and manager enquiries received via the Careers Inbox. Being a passionate advocate on behalf of candidates, ensuring delivery of an excellent candidate experience. Working in partnership with designated business units to provide support and guidance, to ensure talent acquisition and selection processes are conducted in accordance with solid practice, business requirements, and support workforce planning objectives related to the attraction and retention of high calibre staff. Developing an understanding of operational requirements across the business to support the development of qualified candidate pipelines to feed into hiring needs.
What experience should you have?
This is normally where a wish list of experience and qualifications are stated, but we're going to keep it simple. If you have experience in the world of recruitment great. But more than that, the following behaviours and skills are what will make you shine in this role: Highly organised, able to prioritise your work and be personally accountable for delivering it in a fast paced environment. Strong ICT skills, previous experience using databases and software and the ability to navigate through systems even if these dont make sense (as yet) or are messy. Willingness to talk with people candidates, hiring managers, the team. Adherence to strict confidentiality. Welcoming and engaging personality and the want to learn.
