In 2014, Adora Fertility fundamentally changed the fertility landscape by making high quality fertility services including IVF available to couples with almost all costs covered by Medicare, saving patients thousands of dollars compared to other fertility clinics.

We have grown to become Australias fastest growing Fertility service, and as such we are now looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to prepare accurate and timely financial reports whilst maintaining financial control to all clinical, scientific and operational stakeholders across Australia.

About the Role

We are looking for a bright, highly motivated finance all-rounder with a minimum of 5+ years of relevant finance experience who wants to make their mark in this newly created role. Reporting to the CFO, this is a broad role for a finance professional who is able to work independently and contribute their ideas to providing exceptional value to stakeholders.

PurposeTo provide financial support to the CFO to ensure the delivery of timely and accurate financial results which are relied on by the Fertility & Day Hospital business units in making informed operational decisions. Managing the financial reporting cycle for the Fertility & Day Hospital business units including daily, weekly, fortnightly and monthly reports, taking ownership of the submission of monthly results to CFO and ensuring that the reporting adheres to deadlines and standard processes. Monitoring actual performance vs forecast/budget. Managing the month end accounting and doctors disbursements. To provide commercial analysis and support to the Fertility & Day Hospital business units via an in depth understanding of the business and processes and the ability to use diagnostic systems in an efficient manner to support this analysis.

Key Responsibilities Providing accurate accounting and financial reporting within monthly reporting deadlines such as accounting, reconciliations, monthly financial reports (including initial review of the above prior to CFO review to ensure robustness of work produced) Co-ordination with Finance Operations to ensure timely payment of suppliers and payroll, assisting the CFO in management of cash-flowMaintain and improve regular management reporting to internal customers (State Business Managers, Scientific Director, National Operations Director) with various regular reports and KPIs on revenue, costs, etcProvision of commercial analysis, including preparation of business cases, ad-hoc analysis, Improve internal controls and compliance within respective Business Units Maintain clear and concise communication with internal and external contacts & provide clear and constructive feedback and guidance Challenge current process, think differently and explore potential solutions to optimise repetitive tasksOther duties and projects as required by the CFO

Key Skills & Abilities University degree in accounting, business Professional qualification (CA or CPA) 5+ years experience in financial accounting in a small, medium or large company or in a Chartered Accounting firm. Strong technical accounting, reporting and problem-solving skills with high attention to detailA collaborative, adaptable and proactive nature, with excellent interpersonal and communication skillsHighly numerate and strong analytical capabilities A continuous improvement, innovation and creativity mindset Self-starter and willingness to assume responsibilitiesAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills Relevant industry experience

Other Responsibilities Conducting internal audits on system processes and procedures and areas of improvement Budgeting & Forecasting
