The impact you'll make in this roleAs Maintenance Manager, you will work closely with the MD and executive team to lead all maintenance operations.Based in Regional NSW, you will coordinate and manage a diverse and fast paced maintenance team, whilst also overseeing maintenance operations further afield in NSW and QLD, with occasional travel necessaryYour priority will be to ensure availability of the heavy equipment rental fleet through sound maintenance and repair practices in the onsite workshops and effective rebuild scheduling at their offsite facilities.You will have responsibility for scoping and writing specifications for maintenance activities to be undertaken by the team, whilst personally supporting with equipment repairs in a hands-on fashion when needed.You will schedule labour and resources for maintenance activities; being mindful of cost implications, timeframes and desired customer objectivesHealth & Safety management will be another key priority of the role.You will assist on-site for locally based, fully maintained mining customers during periods of management leave.You will be skilled in creating a positive department culture where the team feels valued,supported and nurtured.You will attend strategic board meetings both locally and interstate to make recommendations on improvements, cost management, growth and strategy for the maintenance department.
The experience youll bring.Experience in the earthmoving maintenance sector, either from a mining or civil background.Managerial experience, for example, as a Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Superintendent or Maintenance Manager (or equivalent).Experience working with Komatsu, Hitachi or Caterpillar machinery.
A nationally recognised trade qualification.Ability to communicate effectively with team members, executive colleagues and customers alike.An entrepreneurial, commercial mindset to look at the bigger picture and be part of a high growth enterprise.Experience implementing systems and procedures to enhance & streamline operations.Strong Health & Safety knowledge.Availability for occasional travel state-wide and interstate.
