Role description/Main duties:
Will be responsible for design, implementation, support and resolution to complex problems relating to network, security, systems, and storage and wireless solutions. This role also encompasses a consultancy and policy component relating to our network technologies. The mid-level Engineer will provide comprehensive design, scoping and technical support to the sales team as well as assisting and complementing the mid to junior level engineers in a mentoring as well as technical capacity.
Responsibilities: Analyzing, developing, interpreting & evaluating complex system design & architecture specifications, data models and diagrams in the development, configuration and integration of computer systemsResearching, analyzing, evaluating and monitoring network infrastructure to ensure networks are configured to operate at optimal performanceAssessing and recommending improvements to network operations and integrated hardwareProviding specialist skills in supporting and troubleshooting network problems and emergenciesInstalling, configuring, testing, maintaining and administering new and upgraded networks, software, database applications, servers and workstations & Testing the jobs and integrations with other enterprise productsPreparing and maintaining procedures & documentation for network inventory, and recording diagnosis and resolution of network faults, enhancements and modifications to networks, and maintenance instructionsMonitoring network traffic, and activity, capacity and usage to ensure continued integrity and optimal network performanceRegular communication with the customers personnel as requiredCreating dashboard and workload automations in Splunk and Control-M
Essential Skills required performing the above job role:Strong understanding of network infrastructure & hardware with knowledge of application Ability to think through problems, administer and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, and controllers.Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection.Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.Dependable and flexible when necessary.In depth knowledge on Network Splunk Enterprise, Workload Automation and its components with finding and fixing network faults
Special Skills required to perform the job role:In depth knowledge & experience on Network Management & Security, Nagios XI , Control-M, Dynatrace APM tool and ITSM productsUnderstanding of ELK & Software Defined Network ProcedurePrior experience in creating custom solutions using various network technologies.
Trade/Professional qualification/Training (including on-the job training) if any:Dynatrace certified Associate/ Accredited Associate BMC Control-M Administrator.
