Research Coordinator
Registered Nurse Division 1Exciting research opportunity in the area of coeliac diseaseCurrently a Part Time Fixed Term opportunity with potential to extend long termBe a part of a supportive and dynamic team
An exciting opportunity exists for a Research Coordinator to be part of a well-established and expanding research program developing better diagnostic tests and treatments for people with coeliac disease. The successful applicant will be based in the Clinical Translation Centre of the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (Parkville) and work with a gastroenterologist, several scientists and another senior research nurse.
This position is for 1 year (with the potential to extend long term) with a 3 month probationary period. This role is currently at 0.6 FTE (with the potential to increase up to 1.0 FTE). Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.
Your new role:Participate recruitment and monitoring of trial participants, as well as organising volunteer visits.Engage in collection of samples, maintain databases and manage ethics requirements.Liaise with industry partners, patient support groups and other key stakeholders.Experience with clinical trials and GCP certification is desirable but not essential.
About you:You have an RN Div 1 Nursing background (at least 5 years post-graduation).You have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.You are flexible and work effectively both independently and within a small, friendly, team-oriented environment.We are seeking a co-ordinator who will eventually be able to work with a high degree of independence and who is seeking to establish a long-term role with the group.
