Job Description
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the financial reporting function within the Finance team
- Assisting the Finance team with month end activities, compliance and reporting
- Supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes
- Conducting financial analysis and preparing reports to drive improved financial performance
- Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances and transactions
- Ensuring rebates & royalties are properly accounted for
- Managing the fixed asset register
- Preparation of statutory returns such as BAS, Payroll Tax and FBT
- Support to the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
- Liaising with various parts of the business such as Sales/Marketing/Operations to ensure amounts are correctly accounted for
- Payroll- weekly and monthly pay runs
- Assisting the Finance Manager with projects to drive business process improvements and enhancements
- Documenting existing and new processes
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance
- CPA/CA Qualified or near completion
- 4-5 years experience in Accounting role(s)
- Computer literate with solid proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems
- Have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Apply a proactive approach to getting things done
- Available at short notice is ideal
