About the businessThe Vein Institute was founded to care for patients with varicose vein disease. Our philosophy is to offer walk-in, walk-out treatments which are safer than traditional surgery, without the need for hospital admission or general anaesthetic. About the role
The current position is part time in our Sydney Office. The Patient Manager/EA is responsible for business growth and development through:
Primarily assisting our Director in organize meetings, taking notes during meetings, and making travel bookings.
Assisting our Director in managing business interests.
Secondarily answering queries and providing information for patients and potential patients regarding their treatment options,
Maintaining a computerised patient management system (PMS) by scheduling patient appointments and generating accurate invoices
Following billing guidelines, and prepare invoices, enter bills, reconcile all accounts on a monthly basis in Xero and BP.
The role requires a person that is confident in working in a fast paced environment and working independently. Additionally speaking to potential patients and current patients to assist them with understanding the recommended treatment plans. You will have a dedication to patient care and strong communication skills (in-person, over-the-phone and written). You will be able to speak about healthcare and treatment plans. Some flexibility in working hours is required to deal with surgery schedules and patient care.
Integrated in the role are duties associated with being the Executive Assitant to the Medical Director. You will be required to perform a range of administrative tasks delegated by him. Lateral thinking and the ability to work autonomously are integral to the role.

Skills and experience
Sales experience and passion is ideal
Medical administration experience is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and spoken).
