In this role you will be responsible for developing and implementing end-to-end procurement strategies that deliver the right products and services to fit the longer term needs of the business.
- Strategic procurement - Provide Leadership for the development of the procurement and contracting strategy, identify innovative procurement solutions, provide assistance to acquisition strategies, facilitate implementation of procurement change initiatives
- Communication/Stakeholder Engagement - Building strong relationships, developing strategies, provide high level advice
- Process Improvement - Develop change strategies, issue tracking and resolution
- Staff Development - Leading and participating in development activities
What we need from you:
- Undergraduate degree in business/finance (or similar), or an equivalent combination of relevant education/training and/or experience
- Experience in managing a medium to large portfolio of spend (annual spend > $20M)
- Extensive knowledge of the procurement lifecycle and procurement best practices
- Significant demonstrated procurement experience in either the public sector or a corporate services environment with experience in driving value contributions including cost reductions, savings via innovation, and the engagement of professional services
