Parkes Shire has an exciting opportunity for an Executive Manager Technical Services who will be responsible for delivering technical engineering expertise including survey, design, development and construction standards, project management and road safety.
In this role you will lead and manage the Technical Services department and deliver the Operational and Delivery Programs and will contribute to the strategic direction of Council. Remuneration and Benefits
The appointment will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award and Parkes Shire Council's policies and conditions of employment: The role offers an attractive annual salary within the range of $106,000 to $136,000 per annum depending on qualifications, experience and skills, plus superannuation and access to nine-day fortnight. A market premium may be paid for an exceptional candidate Additional 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance is payable in accordance with Award provisions

This role is for a skilled professional who has the passion, drive and technical knowledge to coordinate, prioritise and deliver Council's technical services.
To be successful in this position you will possess: Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline with contemporary experience in a similar role; or substantial contemporary experience in a similar role, coupled with ongoing professional development to support contemporary knowledge Contemporary knowledge and experience in the planning and delivery of technical engineering services at a management and leadership level Demonstrated understanding of Lean methodology Demonstrated experience in project and contract management Proven ability to engage with and influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve fit-for-purpose outcomes that drive the achievement of strategic goals Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, including influencing and negotiation, research, information analysis and report writing to facilitate planning, decision-making and continuous improvement Demonstrated staff management experience, with proven track record leading, developing and supporting staff to achieve work targets and objectives efficiently and effectively Current Class C Drivers Licence Working with Children Check National Police History Check You must have the right to live and work in Australia
Candidates with relevant postgraduate project or business management qualifications and/or local government experience would be highly desirable. How to Apply
