About the Role
The Personal Carer role be responsible for assisting an elderly gentleman with personal care and health monitoring, accompanying client to medical appointments, catering for the client and responsible for maintaining a clean home environment.
You will be required to work with other team members in a harmonious and cooperative manner and will be supported by a wider team.
Initially, the role will be FIFO from Perth to the Pilbara on a 7/7 rotation. It is highly likely the role will transition back to Perth on a residential basis later in the year.
Key duties include: Manage the daily needs for an elderly gentleman.General provisioning for client of daily groceriesCoordination of daily medicine requirementsPerform a variety of cleaning activitiesEnsure all areas are cared for and inspected to the highest standardReport damages or areas requiring special attentionMonitor stock levels and communicate replenishing needs as requiredAdhere to commonly accepted health and safety practices, for a private residence
About YouExtensive experience as a Carer or NurseYou will hold a Cert III in an Aged Care qualification or similar Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performancePrevious aged care experience highly regardedThe ability to work as part of a tight knit team and take direction as requiredExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPrioritization and time management skillsWorking quickly without compromising qualityAbility to adapt to different situations and change work processes to accommodate client needs Ability to provide person-centred and consumer-directed careDemonstrated experience with personal care, medications, hoists & manual handling
