About the role:
The Maintenance manager will be responsible for the planning, scheduling and coordination of asset maintenance activities at Adelaide and Parafield Airports. They will also be responsible for the management of Facilities Maintenance team on a day to day basis optimising allocation of resources in support of maximising serviceability of AAL assets.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for the planning, scheduling and co-ordination of maintenance activities at Adelaide & Parafield Airports;
- Day to day management of Facilities Maintenance team scheduling and optimisation of resources
- Efficient management of maintenance activity to optimise serviceability of all AAL assets.
- Oversight of contractor maintenance activities and service provision in line with agreed contract undertakings and priorities in line with regulatory requirements.
- Optimise use of Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Support Facilities Manager in delivery of departmental business plan.
- Manage coach and develop a high performing team
- Communication with all internal and external stakeholders in a consistent fashion to ensure departmental objectives and priorities are defined and delivered.
- Drive increased productivity through efficient allocation of resources and appropriate cross training to meet required maintenance activity targets.
- Understand, work within and contribute to the development of Company policies and procedures;
- Other duties as directed by the Facilities Manager;
- Contribute to Airport Emergency Response;
- Management of budgets for Facilities Maintenance in line with delegated financial authority;
The successful applicant will require:
- Tertiary qualifications in technology and management related disciplines or practical experience leading to the acquisition of equivalent skill level
- Proven experience as a mechanical services or electrical services engineer
- Demonstrated experience at leading multi-disciplined groups
- Previous management and financial skills experience
- Proven people management skills
- Experience in estimating and budgeting
- Ability to write detailed and complex technical reports and policy manuals
- Knowledge of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Ability to work autonomously with attention to detail;
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate, negotiate and influence people at all levels;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively;
- High level of customer service skills.
Previous airport operations experience is desirable.
