About the Opportunity
Due to Metarock being able to "grow our own" and promote from within we now have two Finance Manager roles in our team. These roles report to the Group Financial Controller and will lead a team of management accountants and finance administrators. Working as part of a newly formed shared functional support division your role will be diverse with plenty of opportunity to work across our multiple entities providing services to the underground mining sectors in Australia. Key responsibilities will include but not limited to: Supervising and mentoring the Management Accountants and Administration staff; Consolidating the project financial results including month end preparation and reporting and weekly performance metrics and forecasts; Coordination of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts; Work closely with Operations to create a culture of cost awareness and control; Analysis of financial results, understanding the variances, trends and cost drivers; Management of the companys insurance program; Partner with key stakeholders in the business to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives in relation to accounting processes and systems.
About the Person
To be considered for this role, you will have exposure to the complexities of a large listed company. You will have outstanding interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to challenge and educate non-finance stakeholders as well as the ability to lead staff members. Complemented by the following: Significant experience in financial management, ideally gained within a large contracting business; Strong relationship management and influencing skills; Highly developed communication skills (oral and written) complimented with sound analytical skills to present management information to the Executive Leadership Team; Confident in your ability to manage the monthly reporting process; Demonstrated achievement in driving change through process improvement; Proven ability to advise on technical accounting issues and standards; Tertiary qualifications and CA/CPA complimented by strong, post-graduate demonstrated experience.
