My client is one of Australia's leading independent law firms and they are looking to hire a Senior Social Media & Digital Communications Manager. This newly created role will report directly to the Director of Communications whilst working closely with the senior leadership team and wider Marketing, Communications and BD business.
Job Description
- Develop the social media strategy and its video content strategy as key digital marketing components for the firm.
- Manage existing social media channels, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram channels, and advise on new channels as relevant.
- Draft and post firm social media copy for all relevant channels, ensuring content is compelling, promotes our areas of differentiation and reaches target audiences with clear, consistent and positive key messages.
- Develop and manage social media campaigns from inception through to delivery and post campaign review, including consideration of paid components of campaign.
- Work closely with the Content Producer to develop and deliver relevant video content for all digital channels, including but not limited to social media channels.
- Work closely with other members of the Communications team and ensure social media content leverages content from across the firm and focuses on topics of strategic importance.
- Assist with drafting and managing content for digital marketing initiatives across all other digital channels and platforms (website, EDM, intranet etc.)
The Successful Applicant
For your application to be successful, you will be a social media and digital communications expert. You will have a demonstrable blend of experience, ideally having worked both agency and client side. You will also have the drive and ambition to want to grow with the function and firm and be capable in navigating a hybrid working space with team members spread out across Melbourne and Sydney. This role requires someone with strategic leadership skills as the role will initially manage a member of the content team.
Other required skills and preferred experience:
- Highly creative, with experience in developing engaging content (e.g. video) and campaign concepts to appeal to various audiences (C-suite, graduates, employees etc.)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to generate insights from campaign data
- Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
- The ability to manage effectively with multiple stakeholders, at all levels, within tight deadlines and sometimes conflicting priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum 6 years' experience in digital / social media content creation and /or communications and digital marketing, coupled with the relevant tertiary qualifications
- Experience working within professional or financial services
