Job Description
- Responsible for assigned tickets and day to day BAU operational duties of the Platform Services Team. Ensuring that IT Platform systems and infrastructure are monitored and secured against internal and external threats, including risk management and information security. (E.g., Patching and upgrades)
- Responsible for maintaining Storage & Data Protection infrastructure.
- Maintain technical knowledge with Microsoft Server platforms. (E.g., Server Builds with current OS's.)
- Work with Microsoft support and other support providers as necessary in order to resolve problems and develop infrastructure solutions
- Adhere to IT policies, standards, and enforce processes within Platform Technology Team and wider IT (where applicable).
- Assist to deliver technology projects on time and within budget.
- Document and follow processes, procedures and standards ensuring compliance with market audits.
- Collaborate with market participants and internal technology groups and stakeholders to develop and implement services and resolve issues with IT systems.
- Flexible work from home arrangements
- Required to be on the On-call roster 24*7 support to respond to incidents after hours (Rotation 1 in 8 weeks)
- Follow ITIL best practices for change control cloud services, data and collaboration services whilst maintaining their availability and security boundaries.
- Sharing knowledge of technologies and operational support to other team members.
The Successful Applicant
- Education/Certification Degree qualifications in Computing and IT, Communications/Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong history with hardware and software debugging and troubleshooting.
- Excellent server administration skills with solid experience in automation and workflow improvement including coding and/or scripting
- Strong hands-on deployment and operational experience with Microsoft products (M365, Teams, Exchange, Windows Server, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Clustering and File Services), Azure and AWS environments,
- Strong hands-on experience in Enterprise organisations with on premise Private Cloud, comprised of VMware, Windows, Dell, Pure storage Data domain and CISCO networking and security approaches.
- Microsoft Azure skills
- Knowledge of ITIL environments
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to proactively report on improvement areas
- Proven experience working collaboratively with teams and independently
- High competency in coding and/or scripting
