- Assist crew with maintenance of rig equipment and tubulars as directed
- Maintain areas of responsibility in clean, tidy and safe condition
- Assist in movement of equipment about the rig and between the rig and transport loads
- Perform relieving duties on the drill floor as required
- Assist Derrick-hand as directed with mud mixing and conditioning
- Carry our fire team duties as assigned and as directed
- Assist drill crew as directed in rigging up, rigging down and running of blowout prevention stack.
- Required to work reasonable overtime in additional to ordinary hours
- Participate in all safety meetings, fire and BOP drills and safety training programs
Experience
- Previous manual labour position
- Experience working away from home (preferred)
- Background in Elite Level Sport (preferred)
Technical Competencies
- Physically capable of sustained manual labour
- Safely perform manual skills
- Must be able to adopt the various procedures outlined in the Drilling Programme
- Rig Pass Induction
- Incident recording and investigation
- Fire awareness
- Driver Commitment / Awareness
- Eye Injury Prevention
- Fair Culture
- Hand Awareness
- Hearing Conservation and Awareness
- Heat Stress
