job detailsOur client, a large federal government agency, is looking for an Management Accountant. You will be part of a team who ensure some of the most vulnerable Australians receive the financial help they need.
- $80.09 p/h plus super
- Hybrid working set up - 2 days working from home
- 9 month contract
Your new Role
Your primary function will be to support the director in financial management, assurance and reporting of the funds restricted grants. You will also support another team who manage the funds special circumstances grants. Your will also be integral to ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of the fund, grant agreement management, risk and program assurance.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Analyse financial strengths and weaknesses of disadvantaged and vulnerable services (including financial viability) especially in rural and remote communities, and make recommendations on additional funding
- Work with departments Finance Business Partners to understand and report on the administrative budget of the fund
- Respond to ongoing data requests and be able to present data to executive in a digestible way
- Collaborate with team members to update grant agreements as part of grant extension processes
- Organise and run the annual Compliance and Operations Reporting survey process (using Qualtrics) to all the funds restricted services, including associated briefings and presentations on data received
