About your new role
The primary responsibility of the Senior Project Officer for Kindergarten Facilities Implementation is to ensure the timely completion of modular kindergarten projects while effectively addressing the needs of internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, this role involves providing advice on program strategy development and maintaining a pipeline of future projects.
Under the guidance of the Director of Early Childhood Infrastructure Sector Partnerships and reporting to the Manager of Kindergarten Facilities Implementation, the Senior Project Officer will work closely and collaboratively with a small team dedicated to implementing the modular kindergarten program. This position will require the management of multiple modular kindergarten projects concurrently.
What you will need to exceed
- Proficient in developing and implementing policies, standards, and programs to ensure that school facilities are contemporary, well-maintained, sustainable, and safe.
- Skilled in delivering the necessary infrastructure for successful implementation of the Three-Year-Old Kindergarten Reform and Pre-Prep, including the construction of new kindergartens within school premises.
- Experienced in overseeing capital works projects for new schools, school upgrades, and the construction of new kindergarten facilities.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and manage partnerships with public and private organizations to enhance facilities for students and promote broader community utilization.
- Capable of empowering communities and fostering a sense of pride in government schools through effective communication and engagement with parents and other important stakeholders.
