An exciting opportunity for a Waste Planning Analysis and Reporting Officer to join a team of talented individuals with a positive team culture responsible for EPA's regulatory response to waste transport, including monitoring of compliance of waste duties, administration of the Waste Tracker system and specialised field operations. A Waste Planning Analysis and Reporting Officer at EPA will: prevent harm to human health and the environment from the transport of reportable priority waste by ensuring quality waste tracking and use of vehicle permissions by: Leading projects that design, build, test and deploy tactical and operational data reports by working closely with EPA specialists or contracted experts. Extracting and analysing data to support our field operations, decision making and data sharing agreements. Developing monitoring and evaluation plans to measure campaigns and programs to ensure the team stay aligned to EPA's strategic priorities to prevent harm to Victorian communities and the environment from pollution and waste.
About you
This is an exciting role for a data analyst or a project manager with strong data analysis skills, that wants to contribute to environmental protection in Victoria.
To be successful in this role you will proficient in leading and building data reports in collaboration with a variety of stake-holders. Known for your ability to pick the right analysis tool for the job, and skill in working across data quality, modelling insights, and communication to a non-technical audience. Through program prioritisation, monitoring and evaluation, you ensure accountability and delivery to annual plans. Experience developing Dynamics reporting and data extraction, using advanced Excel, PowerBi, and the programming language R, is desirable. Also desirable is an understanding of the types and classification of waste being reported via EPA's Waste Tracker portal.
