MARS Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with one of Australia's fastest growing and most exciting Fintech firms who through investment in their people, have seen significant growth over the past 12-18 months.Headquartered in Sydney, this group have been disrupting the financial services landscape through their product offerings and have been growing rapidly with plans to expand internationally over the next period as well. Our client is a multi-award winning organisation and this role provides an excellent opportunity to grow with the firm and gain exposure across both the BAU and project space and act as a mentor for junior team members in Finance as well.
In this role, you will be responsible for:Month end and quarterly reportingAssisting Senior Management with developing a cash management strategyProviding analysis and subsequent commentary on plan vs actual reportingReviewing work of junior team members and assisting with their developmentYear end responsibilities in terms of liaising with auditors and preparation of annual financial statementsTax return preparation and submissionAd hoc project work: improving processes, transformation work, etc.
This role will be as diverse as it is interesting. Ideally the successful candidate will have;CA/CPA qualification or similarStrong Excel skills with a demonstrated ability to work with large data volumesWith a minimum of 3 years' experience A resourceful, self-starterPragmatic, flexible and scalableFocused with a high level of attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skills and exceptional prioritisation skills and able to multi-task effectively in a fast paced environment
