Job summary
Coogee Common is a beautiful restaurant in the fully refurbished Old Coogee Hotel, with a strong focus on a garden to plate philosophy. Boasting an expansive on site garden which provides us with a unique opportunity to have a hands on experience day to day with our produce. We are open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner with no breakfast shifts with free on site parking.With our kitchen under new management with our new Head Chef we are looking for a sous chef and a chef de partie who are enthusiastic and passionate about food to join our team. As a chef at Coogee Common you will rotate through the kitchen and learn every section. You will also have shifts in the garden where you will be involved with the harvesting and maintaining of the garden. The position will report direct to the Head Chef and will work to support the creation, implementation and development of menu items.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:ability to run all sections in the kitchena strong eye for detail and the maintenance of standardsmanage junior members of the teamordering and general paperwork
The right candidate must have at least one year in a similar position and have a desire to work with high quality food, be comfortable in a fast paced environment and be passionate about our philosophy and seasonal fresh produce.
