Through innovative research and development engineering with a 40 year history, they have carved a niche in the global mining industry, providing products to the market from supply only to full turnkey EPC contracts including full asset life-cycle maintenance and calibration services.
An exciting opportunity exists for a full time, permanent Electronic Engineer Data Analyst/Calibrator to perform calibration work to achieve optimal performance of their product range of analysers.
Reporting into the Chief Technical Officer, you will be responsible to ensure all client analysers are calibrated, pass performance guarantees and perform optimally. This is not a typical desk role, with opportunities to be involved in some research and engineering and associated test work in the field with excellent career prospects.
Key elements of the role:
- Assist in management of and to undertake experimental calibration work for customer samples
- Clear and accurate records keeping
- To provide support to Service Engineers in the field
- Continual improvement of calibration methods
- Assist marketing by providing technical advice and performance guarantees
- Potential for field trips to client sites as well as after-hours support
The suitable candidate will possess the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical desirable)
- Ability to understand physics of analysis and statistics
- Advanced skills in MS Excel
- Good planning, time management and organisational ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Hold a current South Australian car drivers licence
- Ability to relate to, and work with, both technical and non-technical staff
- Graduates are encouraged to apply
You will work in an established team with two (2) colleagues and an experienced manager to learn from. You will be provided on-the-job training and perform the role with a mature client base. Be surrounded by technical experts, many of whom have long tenures, demonstrating a warm, friendly and supportive culture.
