About Our ClientMy client is a key player in the online punting space with multiple channels for website and app usage, holding a customer first mindset for its optimisation and addressing pain points. The successful applicant will work closely with the Customer Service and Product Team to follow the whole product life cycle with their most important responsibility being the user interface design.
Job Description
We are looking for a Product Designer who has experience in creating and maintaining design systems and has a
strong mobile-first mindset. This role will be the primary stakeholder in expanding and maintaining the design
systems for our suite of digital products. The ideal candidate will produce pixel-perfect designs for responsive
web and native applications, while working closely with our tech team to ensure a smooth handover process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with design team to maintain Design System with adherence to product branding requirements.
- Utilising Figma on a day to day basis for user interface design and improvements.
- UI focused position, we expect all of our designers to think holistically about how design impacts the overall product and experience and to work collaboratively from discovery to delivery.
- Present and communicate design work to a range of different audiences.
- A mix of innovation, Continuous improvement & bug related product design work.
The Successful Applicant
The Successful Candidate:
- 3+ years experience building and maintaining complex design systems, including managing third-party plugins and optimisation.
- 3+ years working with Figma, with an end-to-end understanding of software functionality and capability.
- Previous experience in Tech space/industry is essential.
- Experience designing large digital products for responsive web and native apps.
- Experience working directly with engineers and strong engineering empathy.
- Working with brand guidelines to ensure product designs are on brand and consistent.
- Comfort with an iterative design process that includes accepting and acting on feedback.
- Ability to collaborate with, influence, and manage different stakeholders across the organisation.
