About Our ClientOur client, a leading global provider of clean air solutions for the mining industry, is seeking a Technical Sales, Mining Account Manager to join their team in Australia. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual with a passion for high-performance products and experience in the mining industry.
Job Description
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the successful candidate will be responsible for growing product adoption in Australia and regional markets, across all industrial applications, with specific expertise and focus in Mineral Resources and Mining applications.
Responsibilities include:
- Partner with local distributors to expand product adoption in the market/region.
- Lead strategic account planning process to develop mutual performance objectives.
- Introduce new products to market through education and training.
- Develop training programs and commercial initiatives to support product adoption.
- Work with channel partners and their customers on site, gathering technical requirements, making informed product recommendations, and facilitating installation needs of the products.
- Compile observations about market trends including competitor products, customer and application requirements and share those back to internal teams to support application engineering, R&D, product, sales, marketing and other functions.
The Successful Applicant
Highly competitive candidates will possess these qualities:
- A strong understanding of the Operations Manager role.
- Demonstrated experience in business development, account management, or sales of technical, engineered products to mining or minerals resources companies.
- Passion for technical, high-performance products with the desire to learn and teach.
- Ability to travel up to 50%, including potential periodic international trips.
- Keen understanding and commitment to safe working practices.
- Bachelors degree in engineering is advantageous.
- Background as a field based engineer or on site technical product representative ideal.
