Key accountabilities
- Database management, claim lodgement, calculation of Pre-Injury Average weekly income, compensation payments and reporting
- Prepare briefs, financial reconciliation reports and claim management documentation
- Communicate professional advice to employees
- Review claims management policy and procedures to continue to meet legislative requirement
- Ensures safety by taking action, resolving issues and addressing unsafe working conditions or behaviors
- Understand all aspects of providing a safe environment in crisis and communicate safety expectations of team members
- Provides on-the-job training, education and advice to line managers and injured employees on workers compensation service provision to ensure compliance with legislative standards and organizational requirements as required
Key Selection Criteria
- Experience in the administration of WorkCover claims including pay calculations, supported by a relevant qualification
- Working knowledge of workers compensation legislation & relevant practices
- Required to possess a current Victorian Driver License
- Willingness to travel throughout Metropolitan Melbourne and Regional Victoria as required
- The preferred candidate will be required to undergo security checks such as police record
